Reclaiming YOUR Mana. We currently focus on supporting men to make healthy changes through our Living Without Violence Programme (LWVP).

Features of the Living Without Violence Programme:
Designed to teach skills required to express yourself & understand others safely & respectfully
Ministry of Justice approved
Runs anywhere from 12 - 18 weeks (depending on the outcome of your initial interview)
Groups are delivered mostly onsite at Friendship House, Manukau in the evenings
Age specific groups available (eg. young men 18 - 22)

When are FV Programmes available?
Our programmes run continuously so that men can start at any time.
1 on 1 interviews are usually between 8.30am and 4.30pm
Weekly two & a half hour group sessions (12 - 18 sessions in total)
An individual one hour completion interview (1 hour)
How do I complete a programme?
By participating in:
A 1:1 initial interview (interview times are usually between (8am – 4pm)
A two & a half hour orientation evening (usually on a Monday evening 6pm – 8.30pm) before going in to a group
Weekly two & a half hour group sessions (15 in total)
An individual one hour completion interview (1 hour)

No, you do not need a court referral. Men can self-refer or be referred by a friend, family member, employer, or another support agency.

No, the Living Without Violence Programme is free of charge.

We encourage regular attendance, but if you miss a session due to illness or an emergency, please contact us as soon as possible. We can discuss options to make up for the missed content.

The group sessions are for men only, but we can involve whānau in parts of your journey if appropriate and can refer your partner or family to additional support services if needed.

It’s completely normal to feel this way. Our team will support you through the process, and the initial one-on-one interview is a good opportunity to ask questions and discuss any concerns before starting the group sessions.
